I hoped Eckhart would be nominated as well, but figured he'd be forgotten in all the hype over Heath. Which is a shame, really- he did such a fantastic job.
And Gary Oldman was amazing, too. Heck, the entire cast was amazing (with the exception of Maggie Gyllenhaal).

I didn't think Maggie did bad. ^^; Katie Holmes was a cooler Rachel, but she couldn't escape from Tom Cruise's house, so Maggie did okay in her place.

Maggie was definitely fine, but replacing the actress was just distracting to me. We already had the chemistry with Katie's Rachel, so having a new Rachel on the screen just confused my little brain.
Ha ha yes, Katie was trapped in Tom's house xD

Her monologue letter to Bruce after her death was beautiful though. I cried every time I saw that part.

And who can forget Joker's lip-lickingly awesome (seriously... just watch his liplicking... creepy awesome) monologues on "How [he] got [his] scars..." And the Magic trick!

I agree. The Joker's facial ticks and other mannerisms were so well-timed. Gah, Heath was just too amazing.
Ha, I remember in the theater when it got to the magic trick half the audience gasped and the other half laughed.

Well, Heath took the Oscar. It's rather bittersweet, actually.

In a break from the somber subject of the dearly departed and loved Ledger....
What are some suspicions you guys have about the NEXT installment in the Batman Series?
Who would you vote for being the Next Bat Villain?
