The poem is based on personal experience.
What she learns
~She hung onto lies And glassy promises That will not come true. What she doesn't see, is the lies. What she learns, will soon come. His words ain't real, she is his fool. Now she wants everything, from him and then more She laid out her cards, he played them. Sooner or later they both lose out. There's too many meaningful days for her to waste So don't believe everything that you've been told His words ain't real, she is his fool. She won't change her mind He just takes it down and tell her that she's waisting his time She meets him at dusk and he leaves her at dawn She doesn't hesitate to take her things and go on her own. So next time that she writes, she says "I love you." Her meaningful love will go onto somebody else She took her golden band and held it in her hand and wished that love was real And for her own sake she forgave him. So she will be waiting for her own answers What's she gathering, doesn't make her feel good She can't wait for him, or think of him in any way Otherwise she will be misfortuned What she learns that everything that glitters is not gold.~
